Why We Built This
We've been trading on Betfair Exchange since the early 2000s. In that time, we watched thousands of people approach the exchange as a better bookmaker — looking for edge in selections rather than edge in process. Most lost money. Not because exchange trading doesn't work, but because they didn't understand the mechanics.
The information problem is real. The internet is full of "Betfair tips" sites and vague "trading guides" that don't actually explain what to do. Most of the useful knowledge lives in private forums, paid courses, or the heads of experienced traders who never wrote it down.
BetfairSquare is our attempt to change that. Every guide, every strategy page, every software review is written from the perspective of someone who has executed those strategies on live markets. We use specific numbers. We include P&L examples. We're honest when something is hard or when results are variable.

- 02Honest about difficulty. If something is hard, we say so. Most exchange trading strategies require weeks of practice before they're consistently profitable. We don't pretend otherwise.
- 03Independent. We are not affiliated with Betfair, Flutter Entertainment, or any software company. We earn commission from affiliate links — this is disclosed in our footer. It never influences our editorial judgement. We've given critical reviews to software we earn commission from.
- 04No tips service. We don't sell selections or tell you which horse to back. We teach the process. What you do with that process is your decision.
- 05Risk first. Every strategy page includes risk warnings, maximum drawdown scenarios, and bankroll management guidance. Profitable trading is about surviving bad runs, not just capitalising on good ones.
